You set the terms. Then you keep them.
Training under a House Officer, for the 60 or the 90, and a little longer than either.
Walk through a dayStructure you do not hold up alone.
Greywell is for adults who do better with a standard somebody else keeps. You write what you want held to. Then it is asked of you, checked, and written down.
It is not meant to be forever. It has an end, and what you built goes with you.
At 07:00 you rise, and something arrives.
The hours are an example. Yours are built from your own week: when you work and how far you travel.
You answer it. In writing.
A directive issued and a return filed. A record, never a journal: nobody asks how you felt about it.
A short line saying what is wanted of you this morning.
Stand-in words. The real directive is only for those admitted.
Then you go and live your life.
Greywell is in your home, not in your way. Your work, your people and your time outside are yours.
Now and then a word from your officer is waiting when you next look. It never interrupts and never needs an answer.
Somebody checks.
Your kit, your quarters, the Tasks you were set. Each to a standard that was written down before you began, and agreed by you.
And somebody is there.
Firm when you fall short, and ready to listen when it is hard. One press stops everything, at any hour, and you never have to explain it.
You account for the day.
Twice a day you report, in the form you were given. Late is noticed. Missing is answered.
In, this morning.
The day is closed, and it was kept.
The lights go out and the day ends. Sleep is never taken from you, and neither is food.
And tomorrow at 07:00, something arrives.
The door is opened for you.
You know the furthest it can run. You do not know the day until it is close.
It ends with a moment made from your own record. What it is, you find out there.
You leave with your Testimonial, the record of how your Term was kept. It is yours.
